Rajarhat police crackdown on illegal call center in Chhatisgarh, 10 arrested

In a significant operation conducted by the Rajarhat Police Station, an illegal call center operating in a rented house in Bishnupur, Rajarhat, has been brought to a halt. Acting on credible information, the police team uncovered a group of youngsters working together in a fake call center setup, engaging in fraudulent activities related to online gambling and investment schemes.

Under the banner of Gazannad Book online gaming and gambling, led by Anil Kumar Verma, these individuals lured unsuspecting victims with enticing offers of lucrative online gambling opportunities on various betting websites. Through their persuasive tactics, they managed to convince vulnerable individuals to invest their hard-earned money, only to deceive them in a fraudulent manner.

As a result of the operation, a total of 10 persons associated with the illegal call center have been apprehended. Along with the arrests, the police seized crucial evidence, including laptops, mobile phones, credit cards, debit cards, and cheque books, highlighting the extent of the fraudulent activities carried out by the accused.

The arrested individuals are scheduled to be presented before the court today, where they will face legal proceedings for their involvement in the illegal call center and their fraudulent actions.
